MoneyManTone is an independent rapper who has been putting out music steadily since his 2018 single “Been in the Loot.” His catalog grew through projects like Mmt 1.0 in 2021, the Papers and Choppa EP and Note To Self in 2023, and Sad Summer in 2024, along with a long list of singles and features. In 2025 he released Changing The Tone, a 16-track album of about 33 minutes whose title plays on his name. It includes “Trouble,” “WHY CANT WE,” “CLAP IT” and “Baby Just Chill.” Clips of him performing “WHY CANT WE” spread on TikTok, which is how many listeners, including us, first found him. His sound sits in melodic street rap: catchy hooks and confident flows over polished, trap-influenced beats, with a mix of punchy bars and smoother sing-rap. He has no major label push behind him, so his audience is growing organically across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and TikTok.
