colby! is an alt-pop singer-songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas, who has been writing songs since she was 14, working alongside her older brother, Berklee College alum RJ Johnson. Before music took over, she channeled her creativity into everything from abstract painting to building furniture for her dolls, partly as a way to cope with severe dyslexia. She says that dyslexia helped shape her songwriting voice. She lists pop icons like Amy Winehouse and Gwen Stefani among her biggest influences. Her sound is cathartic but fun, and she shares covers alongside her originals on TikTok, which is where we first found her. Her debut EP, Dead Giveaway, came out in November 2024, and her second EP, FINE!, includes “Monster” with Shaya Zamora. She has also released 2026 singles including “Who’s Your Angel Now,” “Small Town Sins,” “Fall Head First” and “Hello.”
