Lauren Spencer Smith is a singer and songwriter who was born in the UK and raised on a small island in Canada, where she taught herself to sing by practicing alone in her room. She competed on American Idol in 2020. She broke through independently with “Fingers Crossed,” which went mega-viral and earned Platinum certification, and that led to a deal with Island/Republic Records in 2022. Her debut album, Mirror, featured the Platinum-certified “Flowers” and the fan favorite “That Part.” Her singles also include “Small,” released in November 2024, a raw ballad about self-image and the pressure to be perfect. Her second album, The Art of Being a Mess, followed in 2025. She turns big, unfiltered emotions into soaring pop anthems built for singing at the top of your lungs.
