Lily Fitts is an American singer-songwriter from Topsfield, Massachusetts. She started playing piano and guitar at nine and later studied biochemistry and molecular biology at UMass Amherst while building her music career on the side. She first broke through online with viral cover videos, including a widely shared cover of a Noah Kahan song, before turning attention to her own material. Her original songs pair heartfelt, folk-leaning pop with sharp, honest lyrics. One standout is “Over Your Head,” released October 18, 2024, a self-empowerment anthem about breaking free from a toxic relationship and refusing to be held back by someone else’s manipulation. It’s the kind of bold, resilient songwriting that got her on our radar twice: in our Fall 2024 favorites and again in our list of emerging artists to watch in 2026.
