NoMBe is the stage name of Noah McBeth, a German-American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer born in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1991. He grew up studying piano, spent time in New York, and moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to launch his solo career. He calls his sound “Electric Soul,” a mix of indie, chillwave and modern soul. His 2015 single “California Girls” got him noticed, and his 18-track debut album, They Might’ve Even Loved Me, arrived in 2018 to strong reviews. He followed it with Chromatopia in 2021, then relocated to Hawaii, where he opened a recording studio. In 2025 he released DIÁSPORA, a self-produced album drawing on ’70s disco, soul and Brazilian music from the ’60s and ’70s. Along the way he has quietly passed a billion streams, had songs placed in TV series like Ballers, and he is also the godson of Chaka Khan.
