Billie Eilish is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, born December 18, 2001. She broke through as a teenager in 2015 with “Ocean Eyes,” a song written and produced by her older brother, Finneas O’Connell, who remains her main creative partner. Her 2019 debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, featuring “Bad Guy,” made her one of the biggest new artists in the world and earned her a sweep of the top Grammy categories. She followed it with Happier Than Ever in 2021 and Hit Me Hard and Soft in 2024. With Finneas, she has also won Academy Awards for the James Bond theme “No Time to Die” and for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie. Her music moves between whispered, intimate pop and darker, bass-heavy production, and her influence on other artists’ writing and sound keeps showing up across today’s pop and R&B.
