Gucci Mane is the stage name of Radric Davis, an Atlanta rapper and music executive born in 1980. Along with T.I. and Jeezy, he is credited with bringing trap music to mainstream audiences in the 2000s. His debut album, Trap House (2005), kicked off a relentless run of albums and mixtapes, and in 2007 he founded the label imprint 1017 Records, which has signed artists including Young Thug and Waka Flocka Flame. The State vs. Radric Davis (2009), led by the double-platinum single “Lemonade,” was his mainstream breakthrough. After two years in prison ended in 2016, he came back with Everybody Looking, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and that year’s Rae Sremmurd hit “Black Beatles” gave him his first Hot 100 No. 1. October is his season. He ties releases to 10/17, and in 2025 he put out the album Episodes alongside a memoir of the same name. His 18th studio album, Against All Odds, arrived on October 16, 2026, on 1017/Atlantic.
