Matthew McConaughey is the Oscar-winning actor from Uvalde, Texas, but his voice has also built him a real side career in music and spoken word. His Spotify artist profile collects credits from the expanded Interstellar soundtrack (2014), the Magic Mike soundtrack (2012) and the charity compilation For the Birds: The Birdsong Project, Vol. II (2022). He voiced the koala showman Buster Moon in the animated musicals Sing (2016) and Sing 2 (2021). In 2020 he narrated the audiobook of his memoir, Greenlights, and in September 2025 he published Poems & Prayers, a collection of poetry and prayers with an audiobook he reads himself. In August 2026 he and Ben Hardesty released “Quill,” a new version of the Last Bison song, from the soundtrack of his film The Rivals of Amziah King. He is a vocal music fan, too. His shout-out on The Drew Barrymore Show sent a wave of listeners to NoMBe, and he sat down with Zach Bryan for a two-hour porch interview about Bryan’s new EP.
