OJ da Juiceman is the stage name of Otis Williams Jr., an Atlanta rapper born in 1981 and raised by a single mother in East Atlanta. In the early 1990s he met Gucci Mane, who lived in the same apartment buildings, and the two went on to become longtime collaborators. After starting his own label, 32 Entertainment, he partnered with Gucci’s So Icey Entertainment and put out a steady stream of mixtapes hosted by DJs including DJ Drama and DJ Holiday. His 2008 single “Make tha Trap Say Aye,” featuring Gucci Mane, became his best-known song and entered the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. He signed with Asylum Records in 2009 and released his debut studio album, The Otha Side of the Trap, that year, featuring the singles “I’m Gettin’ Money” and “Make tha Trap Say Aye.” He kept releasing mixtapes into the 2010s, including Alaska in Atlanta 2 in 2014. He reunites with Gucci on “Lambo pass by,” track 13 on Against All Odds.
